About Phoenix – 350EC16-17 Chlorine Pneumatic Valve

Engineered for automated chlorine isolation where safe containment is critical.

The Phoenix 350EC16-17 is a bellows sealed globe valve with pneumatic actuation designed for liquid chlorine and hazardous chemical service requiring Euro Chlor compliance. Developed in accordance with GEST 17/492, this valve provides reliable automated shut-off in environments where fugitive emissions and manual intervention introduce operational and safety risk.

The encapsulated superlong multi-wall bellows isolates the stem sealing area from the process fluid, delivering zero-emission performance and eliminating routine packing adjustment. The integrated secondary packing provides backup containment in the unlikely event of bellows failure, ensuring continued safe operation until scheduled maintenance.

Supplied with pneumatic diaphragm actuation, the 350EC16-17 enables remote operation and integration into plant control systems, supporting automated shutdown sequences and hazardous area installations. Available in Class 300 / PN40 configurations, the valve is suited to chlorine plants and chemical processing facilities where compliance, containment and reliability are essential.

For technicians, engineers and production managers, this means:

  • Provides automated chlorine isolation using pneumatic actuation for remote operation
  • Prevents fugitive emissions through encapsulated multi-wall bellows sealing
  • Supports Euro Chlor compliance in accordance with GEST 17/492
  • Reduces manual intervention in hazardous areas through remote shut-off capability
  • Maintains containment integrity with hard-faced metal seating surfaces
  • Suitable for aggressive chemical media including Cl₂, HCl, HF, VCM and EDC
  • Designed for hazardous process environments up to Class 300 / PN40

For manual isolation or process control applications, refer to the Phoenix 350EC4-5 shut-off valve and Phoenix 350EC8-9 chlorine control valve.

Automate isolation. Reduce exposure. Safeguard operations.
