The Arca Artes Injection Steam Desuperheater / Attemperator is used for cooling steam in process plants and power stations. The rotary design accurately controls the temperature of superheated steam by varying the number of injection nozzles required to cool the steam at varying loads while injecting feedwater into the centre of the pipeline being the area of highest velocity.

Being a constant pressure device it guarantees maximum feedwater to steam differential pressure ensuring optimum atomization unlike other designs which require an additional control valve which reduces the much needed injection pressure. The built in isolation ball valve provides double isolation eliminating dripping into the steam line leading to stress cracks, a common problem experienced with linear desuperheater designs.

When incorporated with a pressure reducing valve it becomes a PRDS steam conditioning station. Accurate nozzle control with very fine atomisation ensures reliable and precise cooling under all steam loads.
